Russia fired 376 missiles at Ukraine in July 2026, the highest monthly total since the conflict began and more than twice June’s figure, according to an AFP count based on daily Ukrainian reports. During the night of July 30–31, Russia also launched 255 drones, 195 of which Ukraine said it intercepted. Three people died in that attack. Another Russian attack struck Ukraine on August 1, while nine people were killed in other attacks on Kyiv. Ukraine is pressing US President Donald Trump for additional defensive capabilities.
