Saxony study highlights village meeting places as tool for rural community cohesion
On July 16, 2026, Saxony's Infrastructure Ministry released the results of a study on Dorfgemeinschaftshäuser (village community houses), also known as Dorftreffs (village meeting places). The study, commissioned by Saxony's regional office for environment, agriculture and geology, highlights these spaces as essential tools for strengthening community cohesion and making rural life more attractive in this German state.
