Zimbabwe: At Least 44 Dead After Ferry Capsizes on Lake Kariba
At least 44 people have died after a ferry capsized on Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe, according to a toll reported by Le Monde. Zimbabwe’s national rescue service said the vessel was carrying 114 adult passengers and five crew members, bringing the total number aboard to 119. The ferry was designed to carry 90 people. Bad weather complicated rescue operations following the capsizing.
