Manchester Super Giants beat Sunrisers Leeds to reach men's final

Josh Tongue took four wickets conceding 26 runs, including those of Mitch Marsh and Zak Crawley. Sonny Baker took two wickets for 39 runs.

Marsh was dismissed for 10 runs and Crawley for six. Crawley had earlier unsuccessfully requested a review.

Harry Brook was given out lbw for 49 runs from 31 balls. Slow-motion replays showed the ball had bounced outside the off stump line.

Sunrisers could not contest this decision as Crawley had used their review opportunity. Ryan Rickelton remained unbeaten on 54 runs from 34 balls.

Paul Walter's journey

Walter, 32, was recruited for £31,000 at the auction held earlier this year.

By comparison, London Spirit paid £390,000 for James Coles at the same auction.

Walter did not play Manchester's first five matches. He moved to the top of the batting order after Aiden Markram returned to South Africa for personal reasons.

In four matches, Walter has totalled 225 runs at an average of 76. He has scored 76% of his tournament runs on the leg side.

Choice of spinners

Liam Patterson-White bowled only five balls. These were the only spin deliveries in Manchester's innings.

Manchester then used Liam Dawson, Noor Ahmad and Michael Bracewell as spinners during Sunrisers' chase.

The final

Manchester Super Giants will face Trent Rockets on Sunday at Lord's in London in the men's final.
