Le Monde reports Ratko Mladic has died in The Hague and will receive a state funeral
Ratko Mladic died Thursday in The Hague, where he was serving a life sentence for genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity. The former Bosnian Serb military commander, known as the “Butcher of the Balkans,” will receive a funeral with military and state honours, according to Serbia’s justice minister; Serbian officials are awaiting the transfer of his body from The Hague.
