Thailand suspends gun permits after school shooting leaves eight dead
Thailand has suspended gun permits after a shooting at a secondary school, Le Monde reports. On Friday, August 7, a 14-year-old first killed his grandparents at their home. He then went to his school and killed six more people using his grandfather’s handgun before turning the weapon on himself. Eight people were killed by the teenager, who also died.
