Thailand: shooting at Nonthaburi high school leaves at least 9 dead including shooter
A shooting erupted on August 7, 2026, at a high school in Nonthaburi province, north of Bangkok. According to France 24, the death toll stands at at least 9: the shooter's two grandparents, six people at the school (three students and three teachers), and the shooter himself—a 14 or 15-year-old teenager. Fifteen students were wounded while fleeing the school. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul condemned the incident and reaffirmed his government's opposition to firearm possession.
