Kyiv hit by ballistic missiles as Moscow faces 600 drones in the same night
Kyiv was struck by Russian ballistic missiles overnight from August 15 to 16, 2026, leaving one person injured and causing a fire in the Obolonsky district. During the same night, Ukraine launched 600 drones at Moscow, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, who reported at least three injuries and said 201 drones were downed in the surrounding region. A Spanish F-18 on a NATO mission intercepted a drone over Romania. Kim Jong Un also reiterated his support for Moscow, while Ukraine accused North Korea of preparing another troop deployment.
