Nyon: Rail Services Resume with Delays Between Lausanne and Geneva
A person-related incident at Nyon interrupted and severely disrupted rail traffic between Lausanne and Geneva on Wednesday evening. The line was closed between Coppet and Gland, and long-distance trains were cancelled. Regional RE33 services continued between Renens and Gland, while a shuttle linked Geneva Cornavin station with the airport. Shortly before 8 p.m., Swiss Federal Railways announced that one track had reopened at Nyon. Around 8 p.m., IR90, IR15, RE33 and EC trains began running again, although delays continued along the route.
