Australia: 42 Years After Her Death, Mandy Lee Yodgee's Murder Remains Unsolved
Mandy Lee Yodgee, 17, was last seen alive on April 29, 1984, at a pub in Prahran, Melbourne, with Peter Anthony Wall, then 32 years old. Nine days later, on May 8, 1984, her body was found by two young children on the roadside at Sassafras, in the Dandenong Ranges southeast of Melbourne. The exact cause of her death has never been established, but Victoria Police treats the case as a homicide. Forty-two years on, the case remains unsolved. Mandy's cousin, Joseph Yodgee, is seeking a reward of AU$1 million for information leading to an arrest, noting that potential witnesses are aging or have already passed away.
