Nepal and China warn landslide-formed lake could burst
Nepalese and Chinese authorities have warned that a lake formed by a deadly landslide could soon burst. Another flood would mainly endanger rescuers still working in the affected area, according to an expert cited by The New York Times. China has sent hundreds of military personnel to Gyirong, a border town in Tibet, Al Jazeera reports. They are helping with search operations after the landslide from Nepal devastated parts of eastern China.
