UK gives Ukraine missile-component plans as Moscow threatens production sites
UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham gave Ukraine declassified plans for missile components during a visit to Kyiv on August 24, 2026. Moscow threatened to identify and destroy Ukrainian production sites using the plans. On the same day, the UK and Ukraine signed an agreement to train security-focused artificial intelligence models with Ukrainian battlefield data. After a meeting of the coalition of the willing, Emmanuel Macron, Burnham and Friedrich Merz also condemned intensifying Russian strikes against Ukrainian cities, critical infrastructure and civilians.
