Salar Film Festival: First Edition on the Salar d'Uyuni, Bolivia
The Salar Film Festival holds its inaugural edition from July 30 to August 2, 2026, on the Salar d'Uyuni in Bolivia—the world's largest salt flat. The event brings together national and international filmmakers and actors for film screenings, a short film competition, seminars, and territorial experiences. In harmony with the natural landscape, the traditional red carpet is replaced by an "alfombra blanca"—a white carpet. Festival organizers aim to connect the local community with the world and boost regional tourism through cinema.
