Brazil’s Lula launches campaign for a fourth presidential term
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has been nominated at a Workers’ Party convention and launched his campaign for a fourth presidential term, according to Le Monde. The 80-year-old left-wing incumbent returned to power in 2023 after serving his first two terms between 2003 and 2010. Lula will face Flavio Bolsonaro, the son of former far-right president Jair Bolsonaro.
