Luigi Mangione Admits to Shooting Brian Thompson in Manhattan
Luigi Mangione admitted on Friday before a federal judge in New York to shooting Brian Thompson, who died from the gunshots. Mangione stated he targeted the executive in Manhattan on the morning of December 4. He pleaded guilty to stalking charges in federal court and faces life imprisonment without parole eligibility. However, in the New York State murder case, he pleaded not guilty. Jury selection is scheduled to begin on September 8.
