Unemployment insurance: payments resume after IT problems
The new benefit-payment system for Swiss unemployment insurance is stabilizing technically after IT problems delayed some benefits. According to Le Temps, payments to people already registered have resumed and unemployment funds are largely up to date. However, fund employees argue that the system does not simplify their work or improve productivity. The platform, launched in early 2026 after several delays and management changes, has undergone many modifications since then. A May report by the Swiss Federal Audit Office also highlights persistent governance problems in major federal IT projects.
