Neil Gilson swims Switzerland’s 10 largest lakes, covering about 370 km
Neil Gilson has become the first person to swim in Switzerland’s 10 largest lakes, covering about 230 miles (370 km) over two summers, according to The Guardian. The 40-year-old British swimmer completed the challenge on Wednesday with a 45-mile swim in Lake Geneva lasting just over 22 hours. His children Lily and Jack joined him for the final 200 metres. Gilson also undertook the challenge to raise awareness of the neuropsychiatric disorders PANS and PANDAS, after his son developed PANDAS following a throat infection at 18 months old.
