US sanctions Palestine Action as a transnational terrorist group
The United States sanctioned Palestine Action on August 26, 2026, designating the British direct-action organisation as a transnational terrorist group. The measures also target the international pro-Palestinian movement Masar Badil and the Italy-based digital services group Autistici Inventati. Their US assets are frozen, and transactions involving US citizens or entities are generally prohibited. Palestine Action, banned under UK counterterrorism law since July 2025, is challenging its proscription before the UK Supreme Court, which is due to hear the case in November 2026.
