US: Violence and Deadly Attacks Between Residents With Dementia in Nursing Homes
Repeated violence between residents with dementia is occurring in nursing homes and assisted living facilities across the United States, according to NPR. Some of these assaults have been fatal. Court records and inspection reports reveal that safeguards designed to prevent resident-to-resident violence are inadequate, despite prior warnings having been issued to the facilities involved.
