Tour de France 2026: Vingegaard withdraws after crash, collarbone fracture
Jonas Vingegaard withdrew from the 2026 Tour de France on July 19 after crashing in a bend 20 kilometers from the finish of stage 15. The 29-year-old Danish cyclist, who held second place in the general classification 4 minutes and 30 seconds behind leader Tadej Pogačar, left the race by ambulance with his right arm in a sling. Visma confirmed a fractured collarbone and multiple abrasions, with surgery recommended in the coming days. This is Vingegaard's first withdrawal from the Tour de France.
