Cessna Caravan Crashes Over Nazca Lines: 13 Dead, Including 11 European Tourists

A Cessna Caravan C-208 operated by Peruvian airline Aerodiana crashed on August 1, 2026 during a sightseeing flight over the Nazca Lines in southern Peru, killing all 13 people on board. The aircraft took off from Pisco airfield, located about 240 kilometres south of Lima, and crashed shortly after 1 p.m. local time. Among the victims were 7 Italian tourists, 2 Germans, and 2 Spaniards, ranging in age from 24 to 78, plus 2 crew members. The aircraft caught fire after impact. The cause remains under investigation.
