Liddes: 9-year-old boy dies after agricultural vehicle accident
A nine-year-old boy from Valais died from injuries sustained when the agricultural vehicle he was traveling in left the road on the evening of August 10 at Chandonne, in the municipality of Liddes. The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on the Route du Châtelard. The child was rescued at the scene and flown by Air-Glaciers to the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) in Lausanne. He died there on Tuesday, August 11. The Valais cantonal police, emergency services, and Air-Glaciers responded. The public prosecutor has opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
