Nick Reiner indicted on two counts of first-degree murder in his parents’ deaths
Nick Reiner, 32, was indicted on August 12, 2026, on two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his parents, filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner. Prosecutors accuse him of fatally stabbing them at their Brentwood home in Los Angeles on December 14, 2025, and fleeing. He has pleaded not guilty and remains jailed without bail. If convicted, he faces life in prison without parole or the death penalty, although prosecutors have not decided whether to seek capital punishment. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for September 15, 2026.
