Frankfurt (Oder): Threatening Email Evacuates Town Hall, Threat Deemed Not Serious
On July 21, 2026, the municipal administration of Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, received a threatening email warning of an imminent damaging event. The entire building was evacuated in response. However, preliminary police investigations concluded that the threat was not credible. A criminal investigation has nonetheless been opened for disturbing the peace through threatening criminal offenses, according to Die Zeit.
