Fulham leave the pitch before penalty shootout expected by Malaga
Fulham left the pitch on Wednesday after a 2-2 draw with Malaga, who were expecting a penalty shootout, the BBC reports. The Spanish side equalised from the penalty spot in the final minute. Fulham say no shootout had been agreed in the event of a draw. Malaga claim it was scheduled, but absent from the contract cited by Fulham. At the final whistle, Alvaro Arbeloa was sent off after apparently protesting to the referee; his team then left the field. Eneko Jauregi subsequently scored into an empty net. Fulham face Stuttgart on Saturday, then host Chelsea on Monday 24 August.
