A448 near Bochum: Two closures scheduled in August 2026 for renovation work
The A448 highway near Bochum in Germany will close twice in August 2026 for renovation work, according to the Westfalen branch of Autobahn GmbH. The first closure runs from Friday, August 14, 2026 at 8:00 PM to Monday, August 17, 2026 at 5:00 AM in the Dortmund direction, between the Bochum-West junction and the Bochum-Süd exit. Detours will use the A40 and A43 highways; additional urban bypass routes will also be implemented. Specific dates for the second closure have not yet been announced.
