ATM explosion in Glinde, Germany; two suspects flee by bicycle
Two unknown individuals detonated an automated teller machine in Glinde, a town in the Stormarn district of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on July 27, 2026 at 4:30 AM. The ATM, located in the entrance of a tobacco and stationery shop, was completely destroyed using solid explosives. According to Die Zeit, the two perpetrators fled the scene by bicycle. The Landeskriminalamt (LKA), the regional criminal police office of Schleswig-Holstein, had not yet determined whether the suspects had successfully stolen the cash inside the machine.
