Minor charged after two firefighters die in Mérignac blaze near Bordeaux
A minor has been charged following a fire in Mérignac, near Bordeaux, in which two firefighters died, according to Le Monde. The teenager had no previous record with the judicial authorities. He admitted smoking a cigarette and throwing it away, and said he might have started the fire, although he was “not certain”, according to the Bordeaux public prosecutor’s office.
