Susann E. Sentenced to Two Years Suspended for Supporting NSU Terrorist Group
Germany's Regional Court of Appeals in Dresden sentenced Susann E. to two years imprisonment with probation on July 17, 2026, for supporting the NSU terrorist group and abetting armed robbery. She lent her identity and health insurance card to Beate Zschäpe, an NSU member, while Zschäpe was in hiding in Zwickau, and helped her rent a camper van used in a bank robbery. The federal prosecutor sought four years in prison; the defense argued for acquittal. The verdict is not yet final.
