Germany: temperatures up to 39°C expected Thursday in Upper Rhine region, DWD forecasts
Germany is facing a week of intense heat. According to the Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD), Germany's federal meteorological service headquartered in Offenbach-am-Main, temperatures will reach 33°C as early as Tuesday, July 28 in the country's southwest. The peak is expected Thursday, July 30, with temperatures climbing to 39°C in the Upper Rhine region (Oberrhein) and Franconia (Franken).
