Peter Gisler has collected organic waste in Zurich for ten years
Peter Gisler, 56, has collected organic waste in the city of Zurich for ten years. He has spent 20 years with Entsorgung und Recycling Zurich (ERZ), the city’s waste and recycling service. Gisler says he is happy to work for the municipality and enjoys his job as a refuse collector. His interest in the profession began in childhood, when he watched refuse collectors with fascination and dreamed of riding on the step of a waste collection truck.
