Oberkirch, a municipality on the shores of Lake Sempach in Canton Lucerne, tops the 2026 ranking of Switzerland's most attractive municipalities. This ranking is established by Bilanz, a German-language Swiss economic magazine, based on data from IAZI AG, a real estate data specialist. The top 10 is entirely composed of German-speaking municipalities. In French-speaking Switzerland, the first representative is Mies (Vaud), ranked 32nd. The Jura, Neuchâtel, Fribourg and most of Valais do not appear in the top 100.
