Arsenal revive interest in Ezri Konsa as they seek a new centre-back
Arsenal have revived their interest in Aston Villa centre-back Ezri Konsa, according to BBC Sport. The 28-year-old is their preferred option as they turn their attention to defence following the signing of Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle. Arsenal were prepared to offer about £30 million earlier this summer, while Villa value the England international at £60 million. Konsa, still on holiday after the World Cup, will miss the Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Arsenal have also held exploratory talks with Tottenham over Cristian Romero.
